Susan Vickery is a distinguished professional with over three decades in multi-family real estate, currently serving as the Principal at Caryatid Multi-Family Consulting, LLC. Specializing in strategic advisory services, she offers innovative solutions in project positioning, value creation, and resident-focused design, catering to developers, lenders, and equity partners.
Previously, Vickery originated the Asset Management role at Trammell Crow Residential (TCR), and during her 20-year tenure as Managing Director, Vickery oversaw a portfolio of A+ projects exceeding $2.5 billion. Her impactful contributions included shaping property themes, writing and implementing resident feedback programs, co-authoring TCR’s National Minimum Programming Standards, and negotiating groundbreaking contracts with industry leaders like Amazon.
Vickery was also responsible for establishing the new privatized Fort Hood Housing office, launching an organizational strategy that resulted in the reduction of the maintenance budget from $5m per annum to $1.2m.
Prior to joining TCR in 2000, Vickery spent 7 years at CWS Apartment Homes, where she placed $50mm of equity in 10 market-rate projects, to include underwriting, market analysis, due diligence oversight and coordination, and loan placement and closing. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Towson University (1986).
Known for her broad-spectrum experience and high productivity across large portfolios, Vickery remains a trailblazer and influential figure in the multi-family real estate sector.
